  3. Traffic: - the vehicles that are on a road at a particular time. - movement of people or goods from one place to another. Transport: carrying people or goods from one place to another using vehicles Means of transport: type of vehicle used for transporting people or goods

  7. M: Hi, Oanh. How are you? O: Hi, Mai. I’m OK, thanks. How about you? What did you do yesterday? M: I’m good. Yesterday morning I stayed at home and played with my brother. In the afternoon I cycled round the lake near my home. O: Oh, good, that sounds really healthy. By the way, how do you come to school? M: My dad usually drives me to school. I used to go on foot when I was in primary school. But the new school’s too far to walk now.

O: Do you come by car every day? M: Yes, except when my dad is busy. Then I come by bike. O: I see. Hey, Mai. How about going cycling round the lake on Saturday? M: Great idea! Can you come to my house at 3 p.m.? O: OK, Mai. I can’t wait! See you then.

  17. Notes a bus For all vehicles that we can GET a train walk onto them and stand up ON an airplane inside them. a car For all vehicles that we can GET a taxi not stand up inside. IN a truck (But we can say “get on the truck” if we talk a van about the back of the truck.) This rule is especially illustrated by vehicles where we could use either “in” or “on”, depending on the size of the vehicle. We normally say “get on an airplane” but if you have a small, single-engine airplane, you would normally say “get in”. The same goes for boats, where we get on a large ship, but get in a canoe. This is also true for helicopters, submarines, and spaceships.
