Ví dụ: Canadian people celebrate Independence Day on July 1st. Người Canada kỷ niệm ngày quốc khánh vào ngày mùng 1 tháng 7. 3. Present perfect - Thì hiện tại hoàn thành S + has/ have + V PII Một trong những cách sử dụng của thì hiện tại hoàn thành là dùng để diễn tả hành động bắt đầu trong quá khứ và vẫn còn tiếp diễn ở hiện tại. Ví dụ: Americans have celebrated Halloween since the 19th century. Người Mỹ tổ chức lễ hội Halloween từ thế kỷ 19.
