2. REDUCED RELATIVE CLAUSES I. Relative clauses replaced by participles. Mệnh đề quan hệ được thay thế thành cụm phân từ. Mệnh đề quan hệ chứa các đại từ quan hệ làm chủ từ who,which that có thể được thay thế bằng cụm hiện tại phân từ (v-ing) hoặc quá khứ phân từ (v3/-ed). Present Participle: V-ing Participles Past Participle: V-ed/V3
3. REDUCED RELATIVE CLAUSES I. Relative clauses replaced by participles. Mệnh đề quan hệ được thay thế thành cụm phân từ. 1. Relative clauses replaced by present participle. (V-ing) Mệnh đề quan hệ được thay thế thành hiện tại phân từ. Who + V(active) Noun + Which Noun + V+ing Chủ động That Ex : a/ The man who is standing over there is my father. The man standing over there is my father. b/ The couple who live next door to me are professors. The couple living next door to me are professors.
4. REDUCED RELATIVE CLAUSES I. Relative clauses replaced by participles. Mệnh đề quan hệ được thay thế thành cụm phân từ. 2. Relative clauses replaced by past participle. (V-ed/V3) Mệnh đề quan hệ được thay thế thành hiện tại phân từ. Who + V(passive) Noun + Which Noun + V-ed/V3 Be + V-ed/ V3 That Ex: a/The man who was injured in the accident was taken to hospital. The man injured in the accident was taken to hospital. b/ The book which was bought by my mother is interesting. The book bought by my mother is interesting.
5. REDUCED RELATIVE CLAUSES II. Relative clauses replaced by To infinitive. Mệnh đề quan hệ được thay thế bằng To + V. First Second + (NOUN) +That + V(active) THE + Chủ động last Who Next which Only Superlative To V (so sánh nhất) Ex: a/ Yuri Gagarin was the first man who flew into space.  Yuri Gagarin was the first man to fly into space. b/ John was the last man that reached the top of the mountain.  John was the last man to reach the top of the mountain.
6. REDUCED RELATIVE CLAUSES II. Relative clauses replaced by To ìninitive. Mệnh đề quan hệ được thay thế bằng To + V. First + V(passive) Second + NOUN +That THE + Be +V=ed/V3 last Who bi động Next Only Superlative To be +V-ed/V3 (so sánh nhất)  Ex: a/ John is the last person that was interviewed.  John is the last person to be interviewed. b/ This is the second person that killed in that way.  This is the second person to be killed in that way.

REDUCED RELATIVE CLAUSES Who + V(active) Chủ động Noun + V+ing Noun + Which That + V(passive) Be + V-ed/ V3 Noun + V-ed/V3 First + V(active) Second Chủ động To V THE + + NOUN +That last Who Next Only + V(passive) Superlative Be +V=ed/V3 To be +V-ed/V3 (so sánh nhất) bi động 1.
