  8. 4. Ideas Bank. Work in groups. For each communication breakdown mentioned in 1, think of a future technology idea that will help avoid it. Share your ideas with the class. Example: Language barrier We will use an app on a smartphone to automatically translate what we are saying into the language of the listener.

Cultural differences: We should learn a few key phrases. Because clear communication is essential for effective functioning, it is necessary that each of us understand what our counterparts’/friends’ need. We should also learn our counterparts’/friends’ culture. Moreover, we should promote appreciation of cultural differences, be open to trying new things, and be accommodating (dễ dãi).
