1. I.PRESENT PARTICIPLE (V-ING) - “ ING participles" ( hiện tại phân từ) còn gọi là phân từ tác động ( active participle) – bao hàm nghĩa tác động. Một trong nhiều cách dùng của phân từ hiện tại là những phân từ này dùng rút gọn mệnh đề tính ngữ. Eg: The boy is sitting in the room. He is my brother. => The boy sitting in the room is my brother.

Passive participle ( V-ED) - ED participles ( phân từ quá khứ) còn gọi là phân từ bị động ( passive participle) – Bao hàm nghĩa bị động. -Một trong nhiều cách dùng của phân từ quá khứ là những phân từ này dùng rút gọn mệnh đề tính ngữ. Eg: These bicycle are very good. They are made in Japan. => These bicycles made in Japan are very good.
