2. I. Past progressive a. Form: S + was/were + V_ing. b. Usage: Thì quá khứ tiếp diễn dùng để diễn tả: -Một hành động đang xảy ra tại một thời điểm xác định/ cụ thể trong quá khứ Các trạng từ thường đi với thì này như: at this time yesterday/last week/ last month/ last year. At o’clock yesterday. Eg: I was learning English at this time yesterday. I was playing soccer at 3 o’clock yesterday.

Hành động xen vào chia ở thì QKĐ và thường có liên từ When ( khi) Hành động đang diễn ra (quá khứ tiếp diễn) Hành động đột nhiên xuất hiện(Quá khứ đơn) Eg: Last night, when she came, I was having dinner. or Last night, I was having dinner when she came.
