Short and Long Adjectives: - Short adjectives: with one syllable Ex: big, small, tall, thick, hot, warm - Long adjectives: with two or more syllables Ex: useful, expensive, modern, beautiful Exceptions:The following adjectives are considered as ‘short’. + Adjectives with two syllables ending in “y”: Ex: funny, easy, pretty, happy, lazy, crazy + Adjectives ending in “er”, “w”, “le” Ex: quiet, clever, narrow, simple.
