  1. Giáo án thao giảng học kì 2 năm học: 2018 - 2019 Môn Tiếng Anh 9 Week: 31 Period: 61 LESSON PLAN Unit 10: LIFE ON OTHER PLANETS Part: Getting started – Listen and read. I. OBJECTIVES: 1. Knowledge, skills, attitude: - Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to know more about UFOs. - Skills: Focus on speaking, reading, listening and writing skills. - Attitude: Getting and knowING more about UFOs. 2. Students’ abilities achievement: Communicative ability, co-operative ability, problem solving and creation ability, self-study ability. II. PREPARATIONS: - Teacher: Pictures, cassette player, posters, chalks. - Students: Books, Textbooks, pens, rulers. III. HOLDING STUDENTS’ ACTIVITIES: 1.Leading into the new lesson:(15 minutes) * What can you see in the pictures? * Do you know another word for UFOs? (flying saucer) * Have you ever heard about UFOs? Do you thing they really exist? * Have you ever seen any films on UFOs? What were they about? * What do you want to know about UFOs? * If you saw a UFOs, what would you do? 2. Knowledge formation activity: Teacher’s and students’ activities Content a. Act. 1: 1. Pre-reading: Aim: Introduce the new words. (5 minutes) New words : - T explains new words - spacecraft (n): tàu vũ trụ (picture) - Ss guess meaning of new words - meteor (n): sao băng (visual, picture) - T reads new words twice and Ss listen - evidence (v): bằng chứng carefully and repeat. - alien (n): người ở hành tinh khác (definition: person on other planets) Conclusion: Know the meaning and how to - capture (v): bắt use them.
