- Culture 2. Read the text. Work with partner and complete the table. Viet Nam Quan Ho singing is a Vietnamese style of Dangdut music folk music that was recognised by UNESCO in 2009. It originated in Bac Country Ninh Province in the 13th century, and is sung at spring festivals. There are a large Kind of number of lyrical Quan Ho melodies. A music pair of female singers sing a 'challenge phrase' (cau ra) and a pair of male melody singers sing a 'matching phrase' (cau doi), which repeats the melody phrase.
