  1. Warm up: Tell about your plan for the next holiday.
  2. 1. What do you see in the photos? Choose the words in the box to fill in the table.   5. Audio script: PP: Phuc’s parents ML: Mr Lee PP: So how was the first day? ML: It was good. Today we had a bike ride to the mountains and visited a Dao people village. PP: Interesting How about tomorrow? Are you going somewhere? ML: Oh yes, tomorrow morning we’re having a treasure hunt. In the afternoon we’re visiting a milk farm to see how milk and butter are made. After that we’re opening the public speaking class. The kids are talking about their favourite country in the world. PP: That’s fun! And on the third day? ML: Oh, that’s something special. There’s the World Foods Festival at the camp in the morning when the kids compete for prizes. That’s our “Kids Cook” Contest. They’re cooking their own unique dish. And in the afternoon we’re having a big party by the pool! PP: Really? Sounds great!

Draft: Then write your first draft. Check: Check your draft. Can you improve it? (You can swap with a partner and suggest ways to improve it). Write it out again.

I have got an oval face with short dark hair. My eyes are black. My nose is small and straight. My lips are thin. My teeth are white and healthy. I am a creative and hard-working boy. I think I am rather handsome, too. Do you think so.
  11. Model 1: Describe your friend This is my friend, Trang. She is a student, too. She is my classmate. She is twelve years old, too. She is thin. She has got long blonde hair. She has got an oval face with blue eyes and a straight nose. Her lips are full. She is hard-working, helpful and intelligent. She has got good sense of humor. Her funny stories always make us laugh a lot. I hope that we are good friends forever.
  12. Model 2: Describe your friend This writing is about my best friend, Mai. We go to the same school and we've been together for three years, Mai is very pretty. She has short black hair and big brown eyes. She is clever and hard-working but she is also very funny. She makes jokes and we all laugh. She loves reading and writing short poems, I like being with her. We often do our homework together and she helps me a lot. I also like her because she knows a lot about astronomy and we can chat about it for hours. At the moment we’re making a Space minibook. We're doing a lot of searching on the Internet. This Saturday we're going to the National Museum to take some photos for our project. Then we're watching a new film on the Disney channel together. It's going to be fun!
  13. Model: Describe your plans My sister and I are going to have the most amazing weekend together! We are going to see some friends and eat out on Friday evening. Then, on Saturday, we are going to make some sandwiches and go on a picnic in the park. I love the trees in spring. The weather is going to be sunny and warm. I am going to read a book and relax. On Sunday, I am going to work out, and my sister is going to browse (surf) the internet. After that, we are going to rent a video CD and spend the evening watching it at home. It's going to be fun!
