  2. Activity 1. Listen again to part of the conversation. Pay attention to the present perfect. Mai: What nice photos! Have you been to all these places? Tom: Yes, I’ve been to most of them. This is Rio de Janeiro. It’s an exciting city, but sometimes it’s very hot. Mai: Is the weather there hotter than in Sydney? Tom: Oh yes! Sydney isn’t so hot. I’ve been to the beaches there many times with my family. They’re the cleanest and the most beautiful in the world! Mai: Is this London? What bad weather! Tom: Yes, we’ve been there twice.

  5. Form: (+) S + have/has + V-ed/P3 (-) S + have/has + not + V-ed/P3 (?) Have/has + S + V-ed/P3 ? => Yes, S + have/ has No, S + haven’t/ hasn’t
  6. Use: - We use the present perfect to describe our experiences Ex: I have been to Sapa - We often use “ever/ never” when we describe our experiences Ever means 'at any time’, is used in question/ the first experiences Ex: Have you ever met a famous person ? Never means the subject hasn't had a certain experience before, never can be used in negative questions Ex: Have you ever been abroad? No, I've never been abroad
