5. 1. Cách tìm đại từ của phần đuôi Lấy chủ ngữ trong phần câu đổi thành đại từ (I, YOU, WE, THEY, HE, SHE, IT, THERE) 1. Đàn ông > he E.g. Tom likes it, he ? 2. Đàn bà > she E.g. Lan was late for class, she ? 3. Vật (số ít ) -> it E.g. The book is interesting, it? 4. There -> there E.g. There used to be trees here, there? 5. This -> it E.g. This is your book, it? 6. That -> it E.g. That is his car, it? 7. These -> they E.g. These were not his mistakes, they? 8. Those -> they E.g. Those are my friends, they? 9. Số nhiều > they E.g. The dogs won't run, they ? 10. Nobody, no one, everyone, everybody, Someone, somebody > they ? 11. Nothing/something/everything > It
6. NOTE: Phần câu và phần đuôi luôn trái ngược nhau. Nghĩa là: * Nếu trong phần câu có NOT, hoặc các yếu tố phủ định như: never, rarely, little, no, hardly, seldom, scarely thì không có NOT sau trợ động từ trong phần đuôi * Ngược lại, nếu phần câu không có NOT hoặc các yếu tố phủ định thì phần đuôi có NOT sau trợ động từ (viết tắt)
7. 2. Cách tìm trợ động từ: (lấy từ động từ của phần câu) -Các trợ động từ : am, is, are, was, were, do, does, did, have, has, had, Khuyết thiếu (can, could, may ) ĐỘNG TỪ CỦA PHẦN CÂU PHẦN ĐUÔI 1. THÌ HIỆN TẠI ĐƠN => giữ lại “am/is/are - am, is, are e.g. e.g. a. The book is interesting, a. isn’t it? b. You are worried, b. aren’t you? => mượn “DO/DOES -V-o, V-s/es, - do/ does + not+V-o c. Tom never smokes, c. does he ? d. Lan doesn’t love you, d. does she?
8. 2. Cách tìm trợ động từ: (lấy từ động từ của phần câu) ĐỘNG TỪ CỦA PHẦN CÂU TRỢ ĐỘNG TỪ Ở PHẦN ĐUÔI 2. THÌ QUÁ KHỨ ĐƠN => giữ lại was/ were - Was, were e.g. e.g. a. Lan was late for the class, a. wasn’t she? b. These were not his mistakes, b. were they? - V-ed, cột 2, => mượn “DID” - did not +V-o c. Your parents did not come home late, c. did they ? d. The girl helped you yesterday, d. didn’t she?
9. 2. Cách tìm trợ động từ: (lấy từ động từ của phần câu) ĐỘNG TỪ CỦA PHẦN CÂU TRỢ ĐỘNG TỪ Ở PHẦN ĐUÔI 3. Thì Hiện Tại Hoàn 3. => Have/has Thành e.g. e.g. (Have/has + V-ed/C3) a. They have left, a. haven’t they? b. The rain has not stopped, b. has it? 4. Thì Quá Khứ Hoàn Thành: c. You had finished your work before 4. => had (Had + V-ed/ cột 3) going home, c. hadn’t they ?

Cách tìm trợ động từ: (lấy từ động từ của phần câu) -Các trợ động từ : am, is, are, was, were, do, does, did, have, has, had, Khuyết thiếu (can, could, may ) ĐỘNG TỪ CỦA PHẦN CÂU TRỢ ĐỘNG TỪ Ở PHẦN ĐUÔI 5. Thì Hiện Tại Tiếp Diễn 5.=> giữ lại “am/is/are” (am/is/are + V-ing) e.g. e.g. a. Tom’s father is not reading books now, a. is he? 6. Thì Quá Khứ Tiếp Diễn 6. => giữ lại “ was/were” (was/were + V-ing) b. You were having dinner at 7 p.m yesterday, b. weren’t you ?
11. 2. Cách tìm trợ động từ: (lấy từ động từ của phần câu) ĐỘNG TỪ CỦA PHẦN CÂU TRỢ ĐỘNG TỪ Ở PHẦN ĐUÔI 7. Động từ khuyết 7.=> giữ lại khuyết thiếu thiếu e.g. e.g. (can, could, may, a. Lan and Hoa can’t swim, a. can they? will, would ) b. Their father could hardly feed the b. could he ? family,
12. NOTE: TRƯỜNG HỢP ĐẶC BIỆT : 1- I am > Aren't I ? (nhưng nếu là : I am not thì lại dùng : am I ? ) E.g. 1. I am right, aren’t I? 2. I am not your employer, am I? 2- Let's + V-o > Shall we? E.g. 3. Let’s go out for dinner, shall we? 3. Câu mệnh lệnh: là câu bắt đầu bằng: V-o hoặc Don’t + V-o > Will you ? E.g. 4. Don’t stay up late, will you? 5. Go out with me, will you ?
13. NOTE: TRƯỜNG HỢP ĐẶC BIỆT : 4. Câu có 2 mệnh đề: S1 + V1 + S2 + V2 (V1 là: think, believe, suppose, figure, assume, fancy, imagine, expect, see, feel) * TH 1: Nếu S1 là “I” => Lấy mệnh đề S2 + V2 làm câu hỏi đuôi. Lưu ý : mệnh đề chính S1 + V1 có NOT thì vẫn tính như ở MĐ phụ S2 + V2) Ví dụ: 1. I think he will come here, won’t he? 2. I don’t believe Mary can do it, can she? * TH2 : Nếu S1 không phải là “I” => lấy mệnh đề chính S1 + V1 làm câu hỏi đuôi. Ví dụ: 3. She thinks he will come, doesn’t she?
