  2. Warm-up: Suggested questions 1. When is the wedding season? (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter) 2. How many stages are there in a wedding? (one, two or three) 3. Do people choose their own partner or are do they get recommended? 4. Where is the wedding ceremony held? 5. Do the bride and groom receive gifts from their parents / guests? 6. Where will the couple stay after the wedding ceremony? 7. Do you know any taboos/ superstitious beliefs in the wedding? (For eg: It’s a must that the bride passes a bridge)
  3. New words 1. newly-wed (n): a couple who have just married.
  4. New words 2. To signify /ˈsɪɡnɪfaɪ/: to be a sign of something Eg: The stars on the American flag signify the fifty states.
