  3. - Affirmative (+) is S (singular noun) There are S (plural noun) Ex: There is a desk in the room. There are twenty students in the yard. There is some water in the bottle. There are some chairs in the room.
  4. - Negative (-) is not S (singular noun) (isn’t) There are not S (plural noun) (aren’t) Ex: There isn’t a desk in the room. There aren’t ten students in the yard. There isn’t any water in the bottle. There aren’t any chairs in the room.
  5. - Interrogative (?) Is S (singular noun) ? there Are S (plural noun) ? Ex: Is there a desk in the room? Yes, there is. / No, there isn’t. Are there ten students in the yard? Yes, there are. / No, there aren’t.
