  9. 1. Comparatives: a) Short adjective/adverb: S + V + adj/adv –er (+ than + Noun / pronoun/ S + V) Eg: Tuan studies harder than Nam (does). b) Long adjective/adverb: S + V + more + adj/adv (+than + Noun / pronoun/ S + V) Eg: Lan is more careful than me / I am.
